a) The question we're trying to answer was to identify electrons in energy excited stage, while finding certain common metals and identifying unknown ones with a fire test.
b)What we did during our investigation was get coated toothpicks that had a coating of the certain metal and put it through a lit bunson burner to find out the color it was giving, the reason we were doing it like this was to identify the metals beforehand, then try and identify the unknown ones by matching the certain color shades.
c)My claim was that the first one we did (unknown 1) was sodium the second one (unknown 2) is barium, the third one (unknown 3) strontium and last (unknown 4) was potassium.
For my evidence I made a list on paper that showed the substances (copper.etc) matched with the color given on paper. For bold is substance and color is normal font. Calcium - dark orange Burium - yellow green Lithium - red Potassium - peach Sodium - sunset orange strongium - orange red uk(unknown) 1 - orange yellow uk 2 - yellow green uk 3 - red orange uk 4 - peach  .
Lastly the reasoning, when the electron goes from a high to low lvl (which excited from the fire) in the electron cloud it has to release energy to form of light. Color is unique because each wavelength produces a different color/shade and you get different wavelengths from different #s of electrons. We matched the UK1 to sodium because both produced an orange yellow flame from the bunson burner. UK2 with barium because they booth produced a yellow green color. UK3 with strontium because they both made a red orange. Finally, UK4 with potassium since they're both peach.

3 Question Blog
1) The tasks I have completed recently is figuring out metals wavelengths and colors with fire tests.
2)I've learn how to find the frequency with the speed of light equation and how to find energy with the frequency and how electrons move to higher state also known being excited and then going to ground state.
3)What I plan on doing next to improve understanding is by remembering the formulas and certain powers of nano meters and other metric systems.
